Amid intense heat in Punjab, the weather is set to change starting today. With a new western disturbance becoming active, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next four days.
According to officials, some districts may experience heatwave conditions on Monday, while others could witness strong dusty winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kmph.
Between April 28 and 30, dusty winds along with thunderstorms and light rainfall are likely. The weather is expected to remain clear on May 1, but similar conditions of dusty winds and light showers may return on May 2.
Today, districts including Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda, and Mansa are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
