Amritsar’s Lopoke police have achieved a significant breakthrough in two separate cases, recovering 2 kg 290 grams of heroin along with two advanced Glock pistols.
In the first operation, Lopoke police, in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), conducted a joint raid and seized a large consignment of heroin weighing approximately 2.29 kg. During the operation, officials also recovered a drone suspected to have been used for smuggling the drugs.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the consignment was sent from across the Pakistan border and dropped into Indian territory using a drone.
In the second case, police recovered two modern Glock pistols during another targeted operation. Officials stated that such advanced firearms are considered highly dangerous and are typically used in organized crime and serious criminal activities.
Police officials have confirmed that investigations in both cases are ongoing and further major revelations are expected soon.
