A fresh landslide occurred near Ghatigarh on the Manikaran–Barshaini road on Saturday morning around 8:30 AM. A large amount of debris and rocks suddenly rolled down from the hillside, trapping a car in its path.
Sensing the danger in time, the driver and other passengers quickly exited the vehicle, narrowly escaping a major accident and ensuring everyone’s safety. However, the car was severely damaged in the incident.
The landslide has led to a heavy accumulation of debris on the road, completely disrupting traffic in the area. Locals say that repeated landslides in the Ghatigarh region have made this route increasingly risky for commuters.
