Pakistan-Marked ‘PIA’ Balloon Found in Haryana Village

Punjab Newsline | Kheri(Haryana)

Panic spread in Kheri village, located along the Haryana–Rajasthan border, on Wednesday morning after a suspicious balloon bearing Pakistani markings was found inside a hut built in a farm.

According to eyewitnesses, the balloon was shaped like an airplane and featured white and green colors. It had “PIA” written on it, along with the name of Pakistan and the crescent-and-star symbol.

Local resident Jaiveer Singh Sharma spotted the object in his hut early in the morning. Noticing the international symbols on it, he immediately informed the Kagadana police outpost.

Acting swiftly, police officials led by outpost in-charge Deepak Sharma reached the spot with a team. During the initial investigation, it was confirmed that “PIA” was written on the balloon. Authorities noted that it is very lightweight and prima facie appears to have drifted into the area due to wind currents, possibly from across the border or another direction.

Further investigation is underway.
